Grangewood Charolais Herd

Grangewood Charolais established in 1985.

Over the last 25 years the herd has had alot of success on the show circuit. Grangewood have produced some excellent cattle and have won numerous shows and All Irelands across the country.

Jerry has been an active member of the Charolais Society a former president and currently a member on the council.

The most recent success came at the Charolais Premier sale in Tullamore in March. Both Grangewood Carena and Grangewood Butterfly were first and second prize winners on the day. There was great interest in the two quality heifers on the day and as a result Carina was made €5000 and Butterfly made €3600. Both females were sired by Oldstone Egbert and out of homebred cow Grangewood Oceanie.
