Salers herd in Ireland. John has been an ever present on the Saler Council
since its emergence in 2000. An exhibitor who has had great success on
the show scene, winning champion interbreed with his famous cow Killasser
Margo and winning several All Ireland Championships
In 2005 John was honoured the National hall of Fame Award for his outstanding service to and commitment to the Salers Cattle Society, both as breeder and an exhibitor.
John believes there is no better breed in the country. The salers have all the traits that a breeder need. These are of course the maternal qualities of easy calving, fertility, rusticity, and good legs and feet. The ease of calving is a trait that is becoming more important as a lot of breeders now are part time workers.
Killasser Salers welcomes visitors and always has a wide selection of quality bulls, heifers and cross heifers for sale.
